The management of Arila Group, a group of companies providing shared services across several value chains across multiple sectors, has appointed John Esoimeme as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Japtini Energy, one of its operating companies.
The appointment took effect from May 2023, according to a press statement issued by the Head of Corporate Communications at Arila Group, Theodora Ibifuro Kio-Lawson.
Esoimeme, a management strategist with over 25 years of experience, has a track record of driving multi-million-dollar sales growth and providing sales leadership in highly competitive industries and markets, including renewable energy, FMCG, and telecommunications.
Before joining Japtini Energy, he worked with Dangote Group, Multichoice Africa, Startimes Nigeria, and Beebee Jump Solar International, where, amongst other things, he supported several market expansion initiatives.
While at Japtini Energy, the new CEO will manage the company’s overall operations while providing direction and leadership for the organisation, Kio-Lawson said.
Japtini Energy is an Africa-based renewable energy company providing affordable energy access to unserved and underserved consumers in rural and peri-urban areas via a clean off-grid solution.
As a part of the Arila business ecosystem, the company has a vision to meet Africa’s energy demand through sustainable off-grid energy sources.
